The city of Akaa arranged an open architecture competition to develop Toijala centre area. The desired outcome was to get light, fresh and modern ideas for the development of the area. Altogether 86 approved entries took part in the competition.

Tieno architects triumphed and got the 2nd prize in the competition with their proposal Mate. The results were announced in January 2015. More about the competition
