The pavilion for Turku City of Culture 2011 year is designed as a light, transparent and sculpture volume. Elegant, playful lines generates intense and expressive shape which hides intimate and picturesque open-air stage in the heart of pavilion. The pavilion is designed as a continuous space for gathering and varies both in height and width when passing through it, creating sequence of attractive and spatially rich spaces. The space can be easily subdivided in different ways and accessed through central courtyard at need.
