New student housing block for HOAS will be built in rapidly developing Verkkosaari in 2023. The building will contain 118 apartments, student cafeteria, gym and other common spaces for the use of students. Three saunas are located on the upper floor, one for each staircase.

The massing of the building follows the city plan regulations, where the upper floor is required to be retracted from the facade line. The facade facing Hermannin Rantatie street has three entrances that are emphasised with different sized niches, laid with light brick. Same architectural element is used also in other parts of facade, giving the building it’s strong architectural identity. Facades facing the courtyard are clad in light brick.
